Bought my first new car yesterday.

I bought an Silver 2013 Scion TC 6 speed manual. 24k total cost of everything, quite stoked really. I would have pictures but I picked it up, drove 500meters down road and left it at the tint shop for the weekend. They are putting venture shield clear bra and tint on it. I'll pick it up monday/tuesday depending on what day I have off work. (work 12 hour days so typically working during hours of opening) but yeah. 24k is including car+7 year 100k mile warranty+clear bra and tint+ all the accessories.

Anyone own a scion? I will post pics this week, no car payments either. Paid in full and completely done, insurance went up 400 a month with 2 cars full coverage at 1280 every 6 months. Reasonable to me since im 22.

Congrats, and wow @ being 22 and paying cash for a brand new car. When I was 22 I was lucky to have $24 much less $24,000

Edit: I have had tint put on all of my cars/trucks and got them all back the same day. Must be a really busy tint shop.

It's not the tint, it's the clear bra he wants it to sit in his climate controlled shop and I don't have time to go get it til Monday honestly. So he's going to let it all cure indoors instead of rain etc.

Congrats on your new car and how great to not have a car payment. I bought my first new car when I was 23 and paid cash for it. It was so great to own a new car without a car payment!

Insurance doesn't seem too horrible. I pay almost $2,000 a year full coverage for a Lexus with no accidents or tickets.

I pay about 1600 a year with full coverage on a 2008 Sienna and 2008 Camry. But I'm old and drive really, really fast.

~1,300/yr for a 2004 Suburban and 2012 Honda Accord...

Not much of a scion fan since my 2010 scion tc broke down frequently (after the warranty expired too). hopefully you will have a better experience with the newer models

That sucks nollywood, yeah I made sure to buy the platinum 0 deductible 7 year 100k mile warranty. Better safe than sorry, I was looking at the hyundai veloster but chose the Tc. the veloster to me was just to unsporty and not enough room in back. Interior was really nice however.

also Uncle Jace i've been saving for a car for the last half a year or so. Just finally stoked that I finally got it. I've been working since 15, joined army airborne infantry 17, got out of military 20, went and got hired doing contracted security firms for the government. Now im 22 as of 2 weeks ago and I finally have been able to save enough for a car. Next purchase is going to be a home in afew years or so.


Anyone have experience with the veloster? I saw they had the 2013 turbos they are really nice, but still chose the tc.

Im already looking into a few mods, going to buy leather seat covers, + carbon fiber heating pads to go under. Going to have heated leather interiorrrr with these seats. (:
