We have the Toys R Us Mastercard and received a 20% coupon mailer as part of the credit card promo. Had to charge it to TRU CC to get it to work.

Hardly ever used the card in the past few years (used to be pretty active when kids were younger). Shame is we have $17 in rewards bucks expire since we forgot to check the rewards account. Could have been free!

So my four bear/game boxes arrived today right before I was about to take the kids to TRU to use the $5 coupons. I decided to bring the games and see if they would let me return and rebuy with coupons. The cashier was awesome! I didn't realize how awesome until I left. He was amazed at the $15 price and couldn't believe it was so low, and said he would do them all in one transaction (I had offered to do separate orders to make the coupon easier...). So he price adjusted all four to $9.99, but then also ran a $5 off coupon on it! I wished I had noticed so I could thank him. Four of these for $35, $37 with tax. Sweet!!

This makes me feel better about scratching this same game on Christmas before even using it once. So my kids have never played it yet!

Just to be clear, the 20% off was not a new card signup promo.They recently sent us new cards to replace expiring ones and in the renewal envelope there was a 20% off coupon for your next purchase on the card. I didn't post anything about it as I figured it applied only to cardholders at renewal time. Sorry if I mislead anyone.

We have had the card for years for the rewards (4% at the time I think) and used to spend enough to get a $10 gift card a few times a year. Funny thing is they used to mail us the gift card in some bulk rate envelope with no notice. Half the time I was about to throw it away thinking it was junk mail only to discover a free $10 in it. Now I think you log into their rewards website to redeem points for gift cards.
