Cvs 8/26 - 9/1

There are 2 different BOGO Qs, one requires the purchase of 2 disposables (8/5 RP), and one requires the purchase of any razor or disposable and a Mach 3 (8/26 P&G). There is also a $3/1 for any disposable (8/26 P&G), as well as a $4/1 Venus refillable (8/12 RP).

I ran the numbers on the razors available at my store today, and I think probably the ideal scenario IF your cashier allows an autodeduct is to get 2 of the cheapest disposables. These were the prices at my store (which seem to be slightly lower than many others' prices though):

Custom Plus 3 disposables - $7.99
Simply Venus disposables - $8.39
Mach 3 disposables - $11.49
Venus refillable on blue cardboard - $6.99

So if you get the 2 cheapest disposables, that's $8.39 + $7.99 = $16.38 - $12.99 autodeduct - $3/1 = $0.39, get back $10 EBs. I think this scenario is ideal.

Unfortunately, my cashier wouldn't let the $12.99 autodeduct stick when I tried to do this. He offered to enter it for $8.39, but then that would've cost me $4.99 before EBs.

So instead I opted to get the blue-backed Venus and a Mach 3. In my transaction, I stupidly picked up the wrong one that didn't print EBs (the non-disposable Turbo one), but if I'd gotten the correct one that does print EBs (the 3-pack of disposables), it would've worked out like this: $11.49 + $6.99 = $18.48 - $11.49 (or $11.99 autodeduct if your cashier allows that) - $4/1 = $2.99 or $2.49, get back $10 EBs.

Both great deals though, depending on what coupons you still have.

I was thoroughly confused by this deal but after reading your post I though I had it figured out. I went today armed with the $4 Venus from 08/12 RP and $11.99 free Mach3 wyb Gillette from 08/26 PG. I bought a Venus razor $7.99 (blue handle) and a Gillette Mach3 (one on greenish card). I avoided the Turbo Mach3 as you mentioned that didn't produce ECBs and the only other one I could see was the one I bought. There were no EB tags on either of those razors but sometimes not everything is tagged so I took a chance.

I had no issue using the two coupons and I got a $5 EB for the Venus but none for the Mach3.

So no EB for Gillette Mach3 w UPC 047400179806. Anyone know which Mach3 does qualify for the EB?

This ad scan says 4/$11 pepsi products, but the one on iheartcvs.com says 3/$10 Does anyone in the South Carolina area know which ad we have??

Doh, sorry I wasn't clearer on that. The Turbo doesn't print the EBs, but I apologize if I made it sound like any other Mach 3 would - it's only the 3-packs of disposables that do. I think you picked up a non-disposable Mach 3 as well (it's non-disposable if there's only one razor handle in there).

There were 2 different packages of Mach 3 disposables at my store - a regular one in a bluish package and a "sensitive" version in a greenish package. I've attached pics of what they looked like.

If you have a friendly/understanding store, maybe they'd be willing to do an exchange for you? I know sometimes it's a hassle if you didn't pay much OOP, and I personally try to avoid exchanges whenever possible, but that's what I actually ended up doing since it was a $5 difference to me. My store didn't have any of the razors tagged either, so it was a pretty easy mistake to make.

FYI - whatever you do, don't redeem your Biore points tonight... take the hint where it asks for you to fill in your info at the redeem page as a bad sign.

I don't understand, why not? I actually was trying to put in my tin points at around 7 or so and it wouldn't work. Tried it 3 times and the page would just not complete the transaction. Left it for tonight. Also do the biore makeup removing towelettes not have points? Or is it I just grabbed one that wasn't marked for them? I don't see anything on the outside of the package.
