So, on the website, I see the place where it says "Enter to win" which just takes me to the registration page. So, I guess I'm supposed to click on something else. Am I supposed to click on a QR code? I'm confused.
I don't think it's working anymore. Every time I enter using that link, it tells me: "You must wait at least 15 minutes before trying this code again". It's been saying that for the past 30 minutes and not changing. Also, if you log out and visit the link, it still tells you that even if you don't sign in.
However, when I enter using the other link in this thread, it changes to "Try again in 15 minutes or look for an available code to play:" every 15 minutes.
I think the"Facebook" entry method is broken and the "Banner" entry method still works. What a broken sweeps.
You're not alone. I know someone else who had the same problem. They showed up at a store that was supposed to be participating, only to be told they were not. They sent him to another store and he was turned away from there too.
This is a really poorly run contest.
How hard would it be for corporate to send out an email or signage for this? Guess the managers have to be able to read to participate.
Pulled this from the bottom of their facebook page. It looks like 90 are in store.
But if you go to Twitter they say they aren't giving away codes. And I guess the banner ad is just straight off facebook?
Not clear at all.
Dont have a smart phone, but it says you can go to walmart and copy the URL. Not worth the time Im guessing since it's probably on a 15 minute timer as well.
And if you count up the "won via location" laptops and subtract them from found laptops it looks like 12 of the online laptops have been found. So I dunno how in the hell to get them via twitter at this stage.

To enter, visit the following Twitter account: http://twitter.com/Walmart (@Walmart) and sign-up to follow Walmart to participate. @Walmart will make two announcements on Twitter during the Promotion Period that a Twitter Entry Period has started (each, a “Twitter Entry Period”). Each @Walmart Twitter Entry Period tweet will contain a Tiny URL linking participants to the Sweepstakes entry page. Click on the link and follow all on-screen entry instructions to complete and submit the online entry (“Twitter Entry”).
