Thanks. interesting deal for a higher-end laptop with 1080 screen. Going through the configurator again from the Dell site, it looks like $100 more gets you a Blu-ray, a 1TB drive instead of 750G, and possibly some other enhancements.
Of course you are then talking about a $1000 laptop, even with coupon. I have an XPS I got on a Dell Outlet deal and I will probably have to happy with that for a while, but I really would like the 1080 screen (not for movies, but for work software which is often based on a minimum 1280x1024 screen -- I hate having to scroll up and down due to the x768 resolution of most lappies.) |

Even though both are 28nm node, I think the 660m is better than 7730m. For one, the 660M is gddr5 and the 7730m is ddr3. And the 7730m is the lowest clocked cape verde card - the 660m is the fastest of the gk107s |

http://www.notebookche 660m is about 75% down the way among class 1 video cards.. 7730m is class 2 although at the top of that class. |
