Quitting my job and want to go to California
Travel question. Been living in Vancouver, BC for most of my life.
I'm planning on leaving my job in January and taking my family to live somewhere else for about a month.
Yes most people would say why stay in one place for a month.
We just want that experience of living in a new city... cooking, cleaning, shopping, doing chores, taking the kids to the park etc.
Kids are 5yr old girl and 3yr old boy. My wife like shopping.
Myself, I'm more or less happy go lucky.
I really like the coastline of California.
We plan to drive so will have access to a car.
My budget is around $2500 to $3000 for the accommodations.
What towns/cities would you recommend?
I am a bit biased towards being close to SJ since my childhood friend lives in Santa Clara county.
Is www.vrbo.com a decent place to find rentals?
Thanks!
