Thanks OP! Went to Cedar Point yesterday with our three kids, ages 10, 8 and 4. Our 10 year old was on a roller coaster high! He rode almost every roller coaster in the park and even rode the dragster ( which he said he wasn't going to ride, but ended up loving). Our four old rode most of the "fair" rides, . but she was enjoying herself without any wait times in most all of her rides. Our 8 year old isn't much for amusement parks but did have a good time. I packed food in the car and we went there for one scheduled meal time. I thought you couldn't take food in the park?? Most every other stroller I saw was packed with food..chips, drinks, coolers with sandwiches. I took a cheapo stroller for the four year old and was glad I did since we were there all day.

Question for those that go to CP often and know it well.
Haven't been to CP in over 15 years and was wondering if food could be taken into the park. Their website says it cannot, but based on the above post it sounds like those with strollers bring food in. Will I be able to bring food in using a backpack? Looking to make this as frugal as a day as possible - just found out my hubby will likely be laid off next month Kind of wish I hadn't bought the tickets last week, but had no idea we were going to lose his income. Now that have the tickets we might as well go - but we will have to try not to spend money while there.

they will go through your backpack, I was there last month and saw them searching bags. You can bring in an UNOPENED water bottle though and fill it up at the drinking fountains - saves a ton on drinks. We found the most reasonable place to eat was the pizza place on the main drag - whole pizza and four drinks for $25 or a quarter of a pizza (for one person) for $5.00 without a drink. |

FYI you can't take water on the rides. Have fun! |
