I have a little hammerless titanium .38 (a Taurus). It's every easy to conceal but this idea that it won't have any harsh recoil is kind of, well, bullshit. That little bitch stings my hand every time I fire it. It's not my first choice for a carry weapon.

This is a great deal on this revolver. It is really painful to shoot though... especially in .357, but when the SHTF i'm sure the adrenaline will block it...

+1....when the adrenalin is going I'm sure you won't mind.
its a carry gun not meant to be taken to every trip at the range.

That little thing uses .357 ammunition?! God help you if you miss, that second shot won't go where you'd like when you're hand is numb from a polymer framed recoil

It's different for everyone. I bought a S&W 329PD 44 magnum. It's scandium alloy and titanium. Before taking it out to shoot the first time I read up on the internet and found loads of stories about how painful the gun was to shoot. I laughed when I finally got to the range. It's really not that bad, and if you are NEEDING it, you won't even notice. The light weight even makes it a dream to carry, even though it's a rather large revolver.

I think I like the Beretta Nano 9mm [sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com] (@ $428) a little better.

This thing is gigantic. Don't let the picture fool you.

The hammerless smiths are much much smaller.

I have the 38 Special version of this gun and it is not huge. The Smith airweights are very close in size.

I prefer the Ruger LCR and I have shot them both.

Having the LCP looked at the LCR at ShotShow but ended up going w/ theKahr PM45 [cheaperthandirt.com] for $633. shipped and have been very happy w/ it. Recoil is no problem and Hogue makes a sweet grip for it w/ finger ridge.

When you shoot them together the LCP feels like a toy and now carry the 45 almost exclusively.
