Can i buy this phone only from walmart for $299 and just use my existing sim card.

Yes, all you have to do is buy it and slip your existing SIM in there.

this is a GSM phone so yes you can. You can only use sim from t-mobile. You may need to unlock it for use with other carriers.

If this was a prepay per minute I'd consider it but the card included is specifically for the No Annual Contract, 30-day Monthly4G plan, a completely different beast then my current pay as you go I doubt using my prepaid Gold SIM would even work.

This my understanding. The phone is discounted for 299.00 if you buy walmart family plan (activation kit cost $25.00). You may or may not be able to use it on other T-mobile plans( prepaid or existing post paid contract) -YMMV -depends on how they would throttle your phone with IMEI lock- Then it may not work on any thing other than walmart plans.

The pink $329 version will work on T mobile prepaid plans, $30 card is like a air time card which yo can use to load for a month of unlimited web+text and 100 voice minutes if you choose that plan.

Overall this is a great deal, a good phone with a month free of service, the plan is incredible if you don't need voice which I don't. I have a Mytouch 4g Slide so I wont be upgrading phones for awhile (free mobile hotspot function), but if I didn't have it this would definitely be purchased by me.
