Eh, I just don't like to fight my anti-virus program all the time, I'd rather have it run quietly in the background without interrupting me. If you like your AV nagging you all the time and giving off false positives, by all means download this. I actually tried the program recently and couldn't stand it. And god forbid your subscription runs out, the program will nag you about it every hour until you try to delete it or pay up.

I will admit they've gotten better in recent years, but still not nearly as good as the alternatives IMO.

If your Norton is interrupting and nagging you all the time then we're definitely talking about two very different versions. People who try to compare this version to their experiences of years ago are not being helpful.

I have been using NIS for several years and do not experience false positives or interruptions. I also run a Malwarebytes scan each night and it has never found
anything so it seems NIS is doing a good job. So far I have paid nothing for NIS
as I buy when rebates are available such as this one. No problems with Norton
rebates.

what is the general consensus about Norton approving rebates for the same product with different offer codes a few weeks apart?

I recently purchased http://slickdeals.net/f/5038916-L...ped-newegg which comes with Norton Anti Virus. Is it worth it to go through the hassle of rebates for this? Or should I just stick with the anti virus?

Have the same question. Did the same product couple weeks ago. Wondering if it will hurt this rebate. By reading the terms I can't find anything that prevents me from buying twice and get rebate twice.
