For anyone who think this is overpriced
Mac laptop built is superior to other manufacturersOSX > Linux > Windows (on desktop/laptop) I've been using Linux on desktop since 1996 - present Windows 3.1 to XP (completely gave up on windows) I gotta say OSX is the best os for desktop nowaday (Still running centos for my server) |

Agreed, it's cheap for a reason. Can someone tell me if a Sony S13P is worth it right now with free PS3 and a 100-150 rebate? For those who know getting it might be worth it due to the GFX OC hack. My Decent Slickdeals:
3x Logitech Anywhere MX $20 AC (Staples) | 2x Logitech M525 Free AC (Staples) | 3x Logitech K400 KB FAC (Staples) They lost so much off those coupons. And I wanted more... ![]() Sony Vaio S13P | 1600x900 | i7-3520M | GT 640M LE @ 1000MHz Clock and Memory | Samsung 830 256GB | Blu-Ray | |

Does J&R carry this at $1150 normally? I don't want to rush into any crazy purchases for a 5% savings. I haven't been looking for it, just got the 13.3" Sony Vaio. Not sure if I want to swap, but it would be a different experience. I have heard great thinks about the touchpad.

If you've got access to a .edu email, you might be able to get it cheaper at Best Buy: http://slickdeals.net/f/5041544-A...ame-price?
Especially if you've got a tax-free weekend in your state. |

If you are directly comparing a 13 MBA with a 13 MBP base models, the MBA is simply better in every aspect. The MBP's strong point is the easy expandability. Even as you mentioned in your original question, it just has a lot more port options plus, you can simply upgrade your MBP base model to MUCH expensive model for the fraction of a cost by upgrading the parts yourself. So it comes down to whether or not you need a casual computer (MBA) or a workhorse (MBP). do you eat poop?
I like to swim in it |
