![]() --edit question to all of you: will there be better deals next month during the labor day sales? i don't have much need for a laptop right now, but will need one when i start grad school next month. i am hoping to do some casual gaming (1366 is welcomed, lol), but plan to use it for ~3-4 years, and will mostly use excel/word/etc. if my budget is around 450, is it reasonable to look for a reputable brand's 3rd generation i5 or an amd trinity? or should i settle with an i3 or a llano? (to compensate for the speed, i jumped on the intel 330 240gb deal that went on earlier today at buy.com, and plan to use it on the future laptop) i realize that this question is thrown out of the blue, but i appreciate any help! thanks

I personally like the Acer amongst all of them since I love graphics for gaming potential....but you have to seriously consider the tradeoffs of other features you want like faster CPU, usb 2 or 3, or bigger LCD screen or Harddrive, and keyboard feel., and finally decide if it's worth the gamble of getting a lemon or problem free laptop. But then again you could very well get a lemon from any of the deals out there. Last edited by atoneapone; 08-20-2012 at 07:37 AM.. |

Those interested in this machine should check out this one for $70 more:
http://slickdeals.net/f/5101062-L...ay-for-499 If you can do with less graphics performance to gain an i5 processor, 8GB instead of 6GB ram, 750GB HDD instead of 500GB, as well as a Blu-ray Combo drive than you might be interested in it. |
