Lol, it's not really abnormally high, the item price is just really low.

I think you would be hard pressed to ship a 6 lb item for $10 using any carrier (FedEx, UPS or USPS).

For those still interested, it looks like cowboom has been periodically adding more pre-owned stock (i.e. no longer OOS). I checked this morning (8/18/12) and there were 4 available, none with a remote, so I didn't bother. I just checked back a few minutes ago and they had 3-4 available and two of them had remote/manual/power cord, etc. so I went ahead and ordered one.

I also read a lot of reviews on the BRplayer on Amazon, etc. and they didn't seem to be very good. But, most of the complaints appear to be with the app/internet functions that have been broken by recent firmware updates. I'm not purchasing this for the apps, so hopefully it'll just play BR and DVD discs okay.

Did anyone get theirs yet? I received mine yesterday. It looks to be in decent shape (minor scratching on top, but screen protector still on the face of it). My only problem is they sent me the wrong model. It was the 5700, not the 6500. From a quick look, it looks like the same player without the 3D capability. I emailed last night and we'll see how they fix it. Also, mine was supposed to include a remote but that was missing as well.

I got mine today, it said that it would contain the remote, and have some light scratches. The entire front bezel is busted off, and has no remote. I can't tell you if it works since there's no way to interact with the unit. RMA'ing for a refund. what a waste of my time.

Mine arrived yesterday, opened it up tonight. It had a couple light marks on the top of the unit, but the front and sides had plastic on them and looked fine. It came with the remote as expected. Just set it up and it's working fine so far.

Received mine today. Minor scratches on top. Remote was included. Impressed with packaging. Played blu ray fine, minor audio cut out, will investigate further. Couldn't get smart hub to load/install. Will investigate more as well.

Got my "Condition 7" player. Looks like coffee was spilled around the player and on the remote, and there are scratches on the front

As for the smarthub, the fix is difficult to find.... unless you read this post!
Turn the player on with no Blu Ray inserted
After the menu appears, hold the stop button on the player for 5-8 seconds.

That should cause a hard reset. That fixed my player.
