[QUOTE=superstition;52490808]Detailed reviews:

"The input lag of the U2412M was very low with an average of only 9.4ms and a maximum of 20ms."

This is what I wanted to know. Decent monitor for gaming.

I am still using my Samsung T240HD bought 3 years ago. I tried this once, but the color is still not as good as my old Samsung even after doing all the color adjustment.

FYI, the anti-glare coating is significantly grainier/crystallized than non-IPS anti-glare coatings, such as those used on TN and VA panels.

The GW2450hm monitor has much better contrast, but is just 1080p. Recently the price was quite a bit lower than $269.

HDMI and DVI signaling are the same, so a cheap cable will take care of this. But it won't do anything for a scaling issue, if there is one.
Really? How good is that DVI audio?

PSA four our military folks: Dell will not ship these to an APO/FPO. They want you to go through AAFES and spend an extra $50. However B&H which does have these in stock for close to this price will ship to an APO for free.

DVI doesn't carry audio. DVI and HDMI use the same signaling, but HDMI adds extra pins for thing like audio, ethernet, and eventually power.

Here is a link to 180 pages thread on HardForum [hardforum.com] . It has the description of brands, models as well as mentioning of reputable ebay sellers who carries them.

I personally got this one here [ebay.com]. It's actually got cheaper, at 289 now.
Hi sd'r I'm in the market for a 27" 1920x1200 led monitor. I see that you refered the ACHIEVA Shimian QH270-Lite. Is it better than then YAMAKASI CATLEAP Q270 ? I mean, what's the difference that you know of. I'm gonna buy either one of these led monitors, but I'm undecided. Your help is much appritiate it.

As far as I am aware, they use the same panel and pretty much the same monitor. The differences is Catleap known to have a low quality stand which many user report to be wobbly and sometimes resulted in monitor "sinking" on either right or left side. Also unlike Shimian QH270-Lite, YAMAKASI comes with additional tempered glass glued to the front that tends to collect dust under it. It can be a very hard task to get that dust from under that glass.

Also you probably misstyped, but these 27" monitors are not 1920x1200, they are 2560x1440 Smilie

Hope this will help.

Thanks for the info. I think I'm gonna go for the Shimian. And yes I am aware these are 2560x1440. I don't know what I was thinking when I typed 1920x1200 Smilie

How is this monitor for playing FPS?

Love my monitor. I don't see any ghosting while playing Crysis 2.

Any monitor with a response time higher than 4ms will be too slow for fps gaming. This one has 8ms. Not good at all for gaming.
