Need a new phone, should I wait for the iPhone 5 or get a Galaxy S III ?
I need to upgrade the phone that I have right now and have been trying to decide between the Samsung Galaxy S III or waiting for the iphone 5 [itwire.com] to be released but cant decide.I can find a 32gb Samsung Galaxy S III for around $650 on eBay atm but im not sure what the new iPhone 5 will cost at launch or if they will sell unlocked iphone 5's at launch. It might even be worth it to wait just to see if the Galaxy S III's go down in price at the launch of the iPhone 5. What did the iPhone 4S cost when it was launched? iphone when launch are usually in the 700-800 range. Since this new iphone is supposed to have major changes to its look (3GS -> 4), I got a feeling a lot of people will want it, driving the price even higher. For a factory unlocked one prob would be even higher
I say go with the S3 I'm right 97% of the time. Who cares about the other 4%

It never hurts to wait. The iP5 is a bit of an unknown right now.
We all find out who we are when nobody's looking.

what do you have now and what do you like dislike about it? The SIII price will not go up when the i5 comes out so just wait.

I would predict that beside screen size and retina display, the iphone won't have anything Earth shattering as Apple will only give the minimum it can with each new release of the iPhone. So I believe the S3 will still be a better phone.

 If you jump now you risk overpaying. I suspect they'll drop the price to compete against the iPhone 5. Also it at least lets you see if the iPhone 5 is worth it or not.

You never REALLY know until apple releases the specs, but rumor is a 4G radio and NFC chip. I'd wait & compare them side by side.
