you/amazon should list hybrid in the title, revodrive are ssd. this revodrive hybrid is hdd w/ ssd strapped on top.

This is a very decent drive. People reporting failures are mostly ignoring manufacturer warnings or instructions. They put it on locked/incompatible motherboards, they raid, they partition 100GB SSD, they install OS on the SSD cache, they dual boot with XP or whatever, they simply take it as a Revo PCIe SSD or a plain rotary HDD.
This drive is totally something different. Great concept! Just need user's a little attention and skills before abusing it like all the other HDDs and SSDs. I used one myself, then let it go on ebay due to my limited PCIe slots on board. Read this in-depth review [thessdreview.com], this Manual [ocztechnology.com], this fact sheet [ocztechnology.com], this FAQ [ocztechnology.com] before fantasizing about dual boot Win 8/XP, Ubuntu, OS X, partitioning as you want, or raid... Even any design defect (which every product has some) fail this drive during normal use, you are covered with Amazon's 30-day return policy, plus OCZ's 3-year limited warranty. Good deal if you have compatible hardware for it, and you want both speed and large storage at a relative low price. HOWEVER, if you are not a super geek (who would dig into tech stuff rather than following whatever others say), don't pretend to be one and accuse OCZ for a "bad" product. Most of reported failures come from mis-use of this drive, really. I hope Page Plus has this plan: 500-600 min, 800-1500 text, and 50-100 MB data for $19.95

I have a Dell XPS 8300 sitting waiting for me to do something with it . . . anyone who has used these before know if there are problems with this and Dell i7 Motherboards?
