Can someone educate me on what I would need to get rid of my cable boxes if I don't have a Xbox or pc (just a laptop that doesnt' stay on all the time). I have two tvs (1 near router) and another in bedroom.
I'm looking to 1) have DVR on Main TV, 2) have cable in bedroom. A plus would be watching DVR'd shows in bedroom. I'm trying to figure out what sort of cash outlay would be required to give the finger to Verizon's $28/mo I pay now. advice, link or any help would be appreciated. |

Just about any Win7 PC will be fine for DVR duties ($300), just splurge on an extra HDD for storage space ($100). Add the HDHomeRun and a used Xbox 360 or dedicated extender ($100) for viewing on another TV. |

TWC flags everything, at least from what I've seen. |

ceton is also releasing an extender, but it seems to be almost as much as an xbox.
