Phone is not what it crack up to be. LUX is only in 2xx where as other phones are much higher. Software is very glitchy.. S-Voice not 100% working right. Back cover is too easy to come off. Would be neat if they had a slide lock for it. Phone would need to go into the $40 buck OtterBox for it but then you loose out of how the phone appear is. Since the OtterBox takes that away.
Also battery life from the 2100mAh is weak.. I had this phone, and just returned it for Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX instead battery is over 3,xxxmAh and more. Last edited by tipstir; 08-16-2012 at 11:15 AM.. When I ask for a tablet they shouldn't tell me to go into the pharmacy to get one!

If I get this with the Value Plan, does anyone know if I have to get the EIP ($20 for 20 months). Which, if this phone is $580...not much of a deal.

So my contract expires in a month, and want to stay with Tmobile. What constitutes qualified for an upgrade? As per the fine print. I am on the Even More for Families 1500 Talk.

Thanks for the reply. The retail price for the S3 is $390 at Costco. So basically I'm paying retail..which, could I just pay retail for the S3 and go with the value plan? Off-topic, but costco also has BOGO. If I get two S2's, is there a EIP of $20 for 20 months, or is it just $150 BOGO? |

If you count the cost of the contract, it is about $2,000 over two years, or $1,200 over a similar prepaid plan. Clearly paying more for a no-contract phone is a better deal over the longer term.

the site says 2 year activation or upgrade required for all handset purchases so we can't get it for just 390. the 180 price would only be for classic plans. |
