Far as I know, two things about the Xornet/Spawn:
1) buttons aren't programmable
2) dpi settings aren't programmable. On this you have 500/1000/2000 and that's it.

That may not matter to people, and the price is right.

Took about 4 months to get my rebate when I bought mine, a good deal in the end though. It was unusable out of the box for me, but after flashing the firmware (v52 I think) it was pretty nice, low lift off.

If the scroll wheel lasts more than 2 months it'll be better than the last few Razer mice I've bought at twice the price.

this mouse is somewhat small compared to the standard mouse if you don't use claw grip.

Xornet is not programmable.

Spawn has an upgraded sensor and programmable button layout which saves directly to the mouse itself.

TU not in the market for a mouse without programmable keys, but the price is right for sure.

Bought this at 15.49 3 months ago rebate came as a check. Bought it just for a replacement mouse not necessarily a gaming mouse. Seems to work great in that regards.

People with large hands or don't like a mouse that sits pretty low may not enjoy this.

This is a fantastic gaming mouse for hardcore gamers.

Quick and Dirty Specs:
1) Avago 3050 Sensor (no acceleration, perfect tracking at low sensitivities)
2) Omron Switches on main buttons (it matters)
3) Easy claw grip (preferred by many for more precise control, especially at low sensitivities)
4) High Quality build. CM decided to make a big splash in gaming peripherals and it did. It's CM quickfire keyboard line is among the best and the CM Storm and Xornet gaming mice are among the very best out there.

Cons:
1) 2000 max DPI - some may prefer the 3500 max DPI on a CM Storm spawn especially if you run a very high resolution monitor (like a 27" apple cinema display at 2560x1440).
2) Lack of programmability as noted (you can get around this by using software easily, just google it)
