VOIP call quality is largely determined and constrained by the uplink bandwidth. ADSL service tends to have poor uplink bandwidth compared to cable-based service. MeatCatalog above has generous 2 megabit uplink bandwidth; compare that to my paltry 0.5 megabit bandwidth on ADSL. For a month AT&T inexplicably cut even that almost exactly in half, and my call quality - what people calling me would hear - suffered tremendously. If MeatCatalog has any VOIP quality issues at all it's because he's being utterly lazy managing his usage. Google Voice requires about 100 KILObits per second on average in each direction, so 20/2 MEGAbit service makes it a drop in a very big bucket.

Can someone please help me with the fax set up ?
I have the ATT wireless modem/router combined, the Obitalk, cordless phone, and the Canon D480 all in one printer. (fax, scanner, printer). I still cannot get it to fax...must be doing something wrong. I'm not a technical person, so please explain as basic as possible. thank you so much !!!
