Went and purchased at local Staples store using printable 20% off coupon in other thread. Final price $25.68 after tax. Plenty more on the shelves.

I'm surprised at how LOUD it can get. Volume control is fantastic too; it can turn the volume all the way down and cut out any electrical hum, unlike other units (Logitech) where if you turn it down as far as it can go, you're still at either 2% volume level or you hear a slight electrical hum in a silent room. Max volume could shake the windows in your bedroom.

The volume control knob feels cheap, and I can see someone being rough with it and breaking it. The mids aren't as clear as on a Klipsch Promedia, and the bass is expansive instead of being tight & punchy.

But for $25, it's a fantastic deal. Heck, as long as it's under $40, it's a good deal.

I am just waiting on the Rain Storm to past over here then I'll venture out to our Chad, the Assistant Staples Store Manager with my Staples coupons. I want to look at this system. And a few other things.

more than likely that deal is never going to come back. from a search on SD, this set went Front page at $30+FS. So this is $5 cheaper and it is $10 (25%) cheaper than amazon. This is a realistic good price. W/e deal you got was just a random luck.

Got the last one on the shelf today. Needed a new set of inexpensive speakers after my girlfriend decided to use my Logitechs on her system.

Drove 13 miles just to find out they've been sold out for weeks. Every store within 100 miles lists AVAILABILITY as coming soon. I'm guessing that's english for discontinued or sold out or something along those lines.

These are garbage, my left speaker broke a week in.
