Anyone know how the Rf-82 sounds compared to the Mirage OMD 15? Just bought a full Mirage surround and wondering if I should make the swap

i'm pretty noob to this whole market right now because it's been about 10 years since i bought any avr stuff, so i'm definitely open to knowledge.

I honestly don't think you should hold out for a deal like that. As I don't see it coming anytime soon, but I could be wrong. For the RF-82s, I am quite sure there has been some deals posted on here..typically packaged with a combo from newegg or acousticdesign

I got in on this deal, I've waited long enough. If another deal on RF-7s like you guys were talking about comes around, I'll be in for those also, but I need some decent mains now.

There may have been deals on the RF-82s but I somehow missed them (though I didn't think newegg carried RF-82s). I have seen multiple bundles with RF-62s though, and was even considering them, but glad I waited.

I really need the big rc64ii to go with my rf7iis. I would kill to get one for 6 something.

I own the RF-82 (previous generation) and really like them. I don't think you will be disappointed with them filling the room.

I spoke with Mike Embers as well and he hooked me up on a great deal! I went with the (2) 15" subs as I am going into a 25x45 foot Man Cave. Also swapped out the rears for and extra set of towers -----> on thing I asked about that others did not post and I did not see is he included very high end speaker wire for me (200 ft spool) - Tributaries SP514 at a cost of $74. ----> My total cost shipped is $2969

This deal is really freaking tempting. I think I want rear towers as well.

many say its overkill due to some legitimate reasons. But if you can afford it, and have space for it, why not? It also would be nice to raise them above ear-level since that is typically the recommendation for rear speakers (as opposed toblasting them straight into the back of a chair).

***It looks as if you found a really good deal as well. I went off Mike Embers recommendation on the wiring and feel I will be satisfied with if for the price paid. 91 strands versus 75 I see but I really don't know that much about wiring. I just compared a few things online and looked for best price regarding this wire. My cost at $74 for the wiring was much lower ---- good find on your end though from what I can see
