I bought this guitar about a year ago for PS3 and was very happy with it. It was a very cool evolution of playing Rock Band and helping me learn some more real guitar. I had played off and on for years and this helped me learn a few cool items.

HOWEVER... then Rocksmith came out last year. I already had a real guitar and that game has taught me more real guitar technique then ever before. It is amazing, fun and fantastic.

If you are plastic lover and looking for a next step to see if you might like the real thing, this is a great deal and should be a ton of fun. But if you are a real player who has liked Rock Band games, I would say just jump over this step and go straight to Rocksmith.

A lot of people (myself included) use this site a lot more at work than at home. It is a good distraction from the work day.

Well, I'm in for one. Although I have Rocksmith and a guitar, I can now access Pro Guitar Mode on RB3, all for cheap, even a little cheaper after I sell the extra copy of the game.

Meh, ordered this from buy.com a couple weeks ago and my order was canceled. So I then ordered just RB3 and it was canceled. Good luck getting anything.

how does it compare to rockband3 pro mode and the midi adapter letting you use a real guitar as well or the squier fender stratocaster guitar?

Never got around to trying the MIDI adapter so I can't comment. However, from what I have heard, Rocksmith is a superior real guitar tool.
