Sears Video Games, Consoles, and accesories 50% off B&M YMMV

How in the world did I miss this thread until today??? What a fool I am.

All Locations have there Pros and Cons. For example more Rural Areas Some people have found some luck on scoring one of the Sears Video game deals compared to the people who live in more Metropolitan Areas, where the Prices are not as good or there were no deals to be found, of course a little luck wouldn't hurt.

Went in yesterday... the entire videogame stock was marked down to 12-25 bucks then an additional 75% off of that... Picked up 8 games for around 3-5 bucks each... still had major titles like CODMW2, Dead Space 2 and a lot of other shooter mixed in with some junky kiddie games... also got a coffee maker and some ipod headphones with similar deals. Obviously YMMV, but worth it for those who already went in a month a ago and wanna check again.

I went to my Sears on 9/12 and they had almost nothing on clearance. I asked and was told there were no additional discounts on games or anything else. They were in the process of moving the game aisle over so everything was a mess, but I didn't see anything missing (i.e. they still had Xbox Live points cards, Move bundles, etc). Me catching a good clearance deal at my Sears is like being struck by lightning... very very rare.

There were no consoles or accessories to be seen... I asked the guy if they still sold consoles... He said "Yeah they are right over here..." And led me to a spot that had no consoles... he said that they used to be right there... and they didn't get rid of them but he didn't know where they were.... He was obviously very distracted by the iPhone 5 talk going on back his outlying register and wanted to jog off to get back to the conversation. I was satisfied with my score already so it didn't bother me much.

The register also spit out a couple coupons with my purchase. $25 off a Home Dept Purchase over $125 and $50 off Appliances over $299... looks like they don't work on anything other than full priced items, but anyone can PM me for them if they wanna use em... good till 9/29 and valid for online purchases as well. Says void if transferred, but I doubt they'd know.

Honestly, if the whole chain was going to eliminate gaming 100%, then the prices/discounts would have been universal up till a few years ago when they started that Kmart Gamer program. Once that started it seems like all the regular clearance discounts in gaming went away. Now everything is up to farkin' managers' prerogative and most of them think their stuff is going to sell just fine at 5% off MSRP and will leave it there for a year at that price.

Stopped in Sears today bc I haven't been there in a while and noticed that the whole gaming section is combined to a little end cap like mentioned. I did see a bunch of games on clearance. Was able to pick up 4 copies of Lego Pirates of the Caribbean for $4.97 each for several people for Xmas, they also had it in a DS game for $9.97, had Homefront for Xbox for $4.97, Deus Ex for $4.97, Halo Reach Xbox for $9.97, Call of Duty for Wii (I think it was $9.97), Call of Duty for DS $9.97, and several other games I can't remember for between $4.97- $14.97. I can't believe how there's nothing left anymore.
