cell phone plan

Girlfriend needs unlimited talk and text. She has a cheap AT&T phone that would be nice to keep using. Where do I find a cheap plan for it? I was thinking about simple mobile, but I'd have to wait a little bit. Can I avoid paying $12 for their SIM card too? The temptation is just to go get a plan at walmart?

Simple Mobile sims can be purchased at that big auction site for about a dollar. For the $40 a month, Simple also gives you data at about 240kbps. That is for phones that can utilize T-Mobile 3g frequencies which you cheap At&t phone probably cannot handle.

As far as At&t resellers go, Jolt Wireless has unlimited talk & text for $35. Airvoice's $35 plan is for 5,000 minutes and 10,000 texts which is probably about the same as Jolt's unlimited.

Or Page Plus $40 a month taxes included.
You'd have to dump the cheap AT&T phone and grab a cheap Verizon phone.
Or, grab a fancy touchscreen phone with wifi and nice camera and keyboard and whatever else.

Any way to get that Jolt Wireless SIM card any cheaper? That sounds like an awesome price though.
