Best way to clean a 1940's coke bottle

Picked this up for 50 cents at an estate sale but it has alot of dirt and what looks like rust inside. Whats the best way to clean this little treasure up ?

Fill with warm soapy water let soak for hour shake and drain

Try some Dawn w/ Bleach, a few drops, and some really hot, boiling water.
This is a bottle so the glass is a conductor and you don't have to worry about it warping like a plastic bottle.
The Dawn will help loosen up any dust build up, dirt, or what looks like rust deposits. Glass doesn't rust so it must be something that fell within.
Let the hot water expand and loosen up what else the Dawn didn't.
Let it cool on its own so as not to shatter the glass.

Its really heavy i think they used lead glass back then.

Because the rebottled the bottles are made to last forever and not shatter. You can drop it and it might chip but it won't shatter

TSP? that will clear out the crud really well; not sure if it will affect the outside (print) though.

Soap and water? I have several old whiskey bottles and soap and water did the job.

To clean out whiskey bottles, I pour the contents into a glass and drink.
