Repped and TUed.
checked on camel camel camel and decided to buy this. Also I am a Canon fangirl for the simple reason that the prints look great and the printers last a very long time. I highly recommend most canon printers for this fact alone Also they are ink guzzlers but there are dedicated forums discussing which inks are best to substitute. If I have time and can find it in my huge history, I'll come back here to post. Otherwise, just get this. IMO it's a great printer manufacturer at a great price And as for photo printing vs doc printing it may be a bit slower but it should look great, if it is like most canon printers. ============== Edit here is the forum link on how to refill http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum/...hp?id=7636 Last edited by WhisperPntr; 08-19-2012 at 06:36 AM.. |

This printer also comes with the CD/DVD printing tray to print directly onto the disk. It's the Canon CD/DVD Printing Tray G. While I personally use this feature a ton, if you aren't going to, the trays go for $20 or more everyday on ebay, so you could always sell it to make this printer even cheaper.
I had to have a Canon and recently purchased the MG5320 for a little more than this and I am extremely impressed. Prints from my iphone come out in less than 30 seconds, and even my kids know how to print from it now. |

I had a split personality, but I'm better now, no I'm not, yes I am, no I'm not, ah shut up!

I have two of these (well three if you include one in a box). They're not the same model, but they're built on the same technology. It's the high-end Pixma lines with the individual ink tanks. They are excellent for printing regular documents. The photo printing is top-notch and looks as good as what you get at Walgreens, Target, etc. Really, 99% of people could not tell the difference unless you know what you're looking for.
Yeah, there's something to do with the legal licensing of it in Europe versus the US. The trays are on ebay, but most Canons for years and years and years do not include it here or acknowledge the feature, because of some legal reason. Last edited by Hawk2007; 08-19-2012 at 06:51 AM.. No, this one does not. Some pixma's do though, IIRC, but they're usually the lesser models (surprisingly). This is the second from the top in Canon's heirarchy before you get to the true, professional/artist printers that are usually FAR with a Canon Rebel purchase. absolutely. Come with ethernet, wireless and the air-print (which i assume the last is for apples). Last edited by Hawk2007; 08-19-2012 at 06:54 AM.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

bought this printer about 1/2 a year ago for $150 to print photolab quality photos.
using canon semi gloss paper you can't tell the difference between professional portrait studios prints and ones you do at home on this printer. trick is using canon paper with canon printer and expensive canon inks. if you don't care about quality and longevity you can use cheap $10 ink sets found on amazon, ebay, meritline. for this price, this printer is a STEAL! |

Except I'm a fanBOY! Agree 100%! Replacing an old Pixma ip4000.

I guess this means I'm returning the BB, Brother printer that I bought, which already shipped... Only real negative is going to a B&M BB to do it. DH likes the Canon reviews better, combined with Google cloud printing, and duplex printing.. A lot of people don't need fax as long as they have a scanner, Google app 'HelloFax' will fax your documents through the internet connection, similar to how you can make free Google voice calls.
Wow, I think I got one of the last ones. Ordered, wrote my post and see its now OOS. Last edited by smilinghelen; 08-19-2012 at 07:29 AM.. 3/15/10
