I love the tab 2 7.0. I've had it for a few weeks now and my only complaint is that I can't charge it except for the wall adapter that it came with. Good news is, that I use it all day (gps, music, email, social media, and the occasional game) and it hasn't come close to dying on me yet, adjusting the screen brightness and using task manager to kill background apps helps a lot too.
The polaris office has been great so far as well, I've used the spreadsheets and "word" document and both have emailed and allowed me to edit without trouble. Almost forgot- don't get it for the camera, it's no good for anything other than video chat. Both the front and rear facing are very low quality and without any "effects" features to enhance them either. Luckily my phone takes great pictures and they are easily transferable for editing on the GT2. One problem a lot of people have been having is uploading files (i.e. music), you cannot mount the GT2 in a disk mode (most likely because they want you to buy all new music from the Google Play store) but if you can use a program called File Manager HD and on a Windows OS you can plug it in via USB and drag and drop files into a predetermined folder on a microSD card. |

bad deal and samsung probably plan a price cut this holiday anyways. This is one way to get rid of the stocks because most americans dont care about specs but the extra things that comes with it. The Sam tab spec is old and the dock is retarded. It only let you dock it vertical and its bulky.

Your mom must watch a lot of pr0n.
????? Not sure what problem you are having. Thanks for adding so much value to people who don't know the differences between the two devices. Last edited by jammer; 08-20-2012 at 02:30 PM.. Reason: Automerged QUADRUPLE post!! |

I'm sure MSRP will drop to $200 really soon. I've seen this tab(non student version) go for $250 + $50 giftcard.
Good tablet but I think its bad time to pay full $250 now. I agree nexus 7 is better but it really depends on person. BTW this tablet do not have hdmi and HDMI adapter will not work(even original samsung adapter will not work). |

Nexus 7 is a great device, but this Samsungs got some definite advantages over the Nexus 7:
Advantages:
Disadvantages:
Price is going to be almost the same, since Google charges Tax on the Nexus 7. Really, the only advantage that Google Nexus 7 has over this one, is the quad core processor, and you'll only notice that on some high end games. Won't make a difference for web-browsing or general usage. In fact, I'd say most users would be hard pressed to notice the difference in speed between the two tablets. Furthermore, this Samsung tablet will be getting Jellybean soon. I'd say for parents, girlfriends and others looking for a great all-around general purpose tablet, this is probably a better deal than the Nexus 7 for 90% of tablet users at the moment.. ![]() I thought about posting this when I got it last week, but figured I'd get alot of complaints about people not being able to replicate the deal or comments about it being MSRP. |
