Yeah, good deal.

This is good enough for most people considering it. The tests when it "fails" are all cpu bound tests. Who's going to be decoding and doing heavy photoshop on this? If you are, then you probably aren't looking at this at all. This appears to be a gem because of it's graphics. That means it does light gaming. It seems to be on par with Intel's HD4000 at half the price of new Ivy Bridge intel ultrabooks. The fact that it's an Envy is also a bonus, better than your typical cheap laptop.


It is better than your cheap ivy bridge. The celeron version I think? The ones that don't have HD 4000. Also, it is better than previous gen's HD 3000 graphics. The cpu still isn't as good as those, but again, this isn't for someone that demands performance in cpu intensive applications.

I'm confused, Staples site says promo ends 9/1, is that for the instant $150? Because this post says the $100 off for a student starts 9/2, which I don't see in the rebate (looks effective now to me).
