In the days prior to the IPO it even appears that the Underwriters and FB where aware the the growth figures they based the exorbitant share prices on was wildly optimistic but not only did they proceed but issued additional shares and increased the share price. In the end the FB IPO was a story of greed by all sides (FB, Underwriters, and yes even the investors looking to make a quick buck). This IPO has greatly damaged the investor confidence in the IPO market and as a result several offerings were postponed. There are many other established companies out there with a track record that are more worthy of investors attention than FB and that is where the opportunity lies.... |
