for those talking about no deals, the gold card acts just like an regularly purchased gold card so i was able to do the bogo 50% off in store and they gave me the 20% off on top of that, so depending on what you want/need, it can be worth while to go in even for little things.
you dont HAVE to buy anything I'm sure they just want people to go out with something instead of not capitalizing on the incoming traffic to the stores.
im just glad i got a free gold card, i hate paying for them...
Called earlier and was told "This works at any GNC store, just bring in an ID."
Went to the same store on my lunch and was extremely pressured into buying something. At the end, the sales rep just rang up my free Gold Card but said they "are out of the free shaker bottles".... Complete BS. They're so overpriced there, unless you were dying to buy something already, even a BOGO 90% off is a rip off...
They didn't even ask for my college ID though. I'm pretty sure I could just go to another store and give a different address and possibly get a shaker bottle.
Just print out the coupon thing in the OP's post so they know the code to enter in, and it doesn't look like you're completely ripping them off.
Every sales rep I've ever encountered at GNC was a complete and total douche.
