Samsung Verizon Network Extender SCS-2U01

enigmaisdead 695 568 August 20, 2012 at 07:56 AM
Anyone have suggestions of the best place I can get one of these for a better price than retail? My apartment gets atrocious signal and I desperately need one of these, but $249.99 is outrageous. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smilie

I am currently on the phone with Verizon Tech Support. They promise they can send me a new Network Extender for only $100. Call customer service and tell them how bad the service is in your area. You have to speak to Tech Support. I hope that helps.

I do. It's on wifi the entire time I'm home. Unfortunately, that doesn't help with sending SMS and MMS messages or being able to sustain a phone call. Frown

Thanks for the info about contacting Technical Support. I just got off the phone with them and they are sending me on for the $100.00. Still a lot of money for their problem, but better than the $250.00 retail.

Called VZW said the $100 unit is a refurbished one, which I don't mind but they are out of stock. $150 was the best they would do. I complained and got it down to $125 for a new unit. Decent price.

Will they offer a discount if I can't get good service because of where I am located in my office building? I get crappy service in my office now. Elsewhere in the building the service is fine. We have repeaters installed for A&T and Sprint but not Verizon. I'm sure their map will show that the service is good in my area.
