This isn't all that good a deal.... First, you should never put money down up front on a lease...you effectively lose your gap insurance should the car be totalled or stolen. Next, you have to understand the options on a mercedes lease....and there are several ways to reduce the capitalized cost through mercedes discount programs.
Just for comparison, I drive a 2011 e350 blueTec on a 24 mo lease with 12K miles/yr with no money down and I pay under $500 a month (and that includes maintenance). Each case is slightly different, but there are better lease options on prestige cars then the one in this thread....you just have to know what you are doing and understand leasing. Here's a test: If you don't understand "multiple security deposits", you don't understand leasing options. As a matter of fact, if you think putting $5000 down on a lease is a good deal, you don't understand leasing. |

I recently got to test drive one of these... it is absolutely phenomenal, very very quick and the sound is just amazing. Handing is much sharper compared to my E55, although I have more HP and Torque so I think the E55 might be a bit quicker in a straight line.
I think the C63 is more like an American muscle car vs the M3 is more of a precision sports car, they are completely different animals. People may want more MPG's or think the price is too high etc... let me put it this way: I see people driving hybrids going to work every morning and they are miserable, driving a boring car, going to a boring job, living a boring life. It's not a car, it's a transportation appliance. Every morning I get into my car and fire up that big V8 for my commute, and I get a smile on my face. For that next 30 minutes I drive to work, there is nothing on my mind, I don't listen to the radio, I don't care about work, I don't care about traffic, all I can hear is a roaring V8 under the hood and a whining supercharger and I'm in petrolhead heaven. This is money buying happiness. |

Sounds like a SlickDeal to me. I drive an SLK350 w/AMG package that listed at close to $80k and sold for ~ $62K new. Okay - I bought it with 20k miles on it, so I can't afford a new one. But I'm on SD almost every day (ok - every day), and I love to save money. Bottom line: This is a good deal - so it needs to be here.

You should never put money down on a lease, only the typical fees upon signing (first month, fees, etc). The reason is, if you put $5,000 down on a lease and get hit by a semi truck while pulling out the lot, your car will be totaled and you will be out that $5,000. You would be better off putting that $5,000 in the bank and just paying the higher payment.

Does this offer end August 31?
How about the C63 coupe? More interested in the coupe than the sedan.

Anything posted on slickdeals for over $1,500 never has discussion about the item itself. They always turn into these.
People should just view the deal as "can you find this specific item in this specific condition for less money?" Based on that I think this is a good deal. |
