Is this like the Apple iCloud or Amazon music services - i.e. if they have it in their library, they play their version (vs storing yours), otherwise, yours is stored online, and you have an allotment of space for that?

Yes its way better than netflix to a degree. however they make u pay big for it. For exapmple alot of Movies are always in 3 version like SD< HD< AND HDX, hdx/bluray is the best of course however you will pay the price. A sd movie to rent will be say 2 dollars while the hdx version can go as high as 8.00. However it looks damn good, so this is a nice deal. However as a normal person on a budget these prices are insane! at least for hdx, especially since i can go to a redbox and rent the same movie for a buck.

For instance, I have a Panasonic TV with the VUDU app. If I sign up with one account, using these credits, can I reset the account on the same app to a new one when the first set of credits run out? Or is it as simple as signing in with the appropriate id each time?

My experience is with Amazon Prime - which associates the account with the TV (you have to be on a PC and the TV at the same time to register it), and with Skype - which requires login each time. My guess is is might be like Amazon, but once registered, not sure if you can easily break that link and register another account.

They have some foreign movies available for rental before they are released in US theaters. I've been waiting for REC 3: Genesis, Ballplayer: Pelotero, and The Raid Redemption which are rentable on vudu. Could also buy some movies on there if you don't need a physical copy.

I rented Safe House earlier which turned out to be pretty entertaining, despite Ryan Reynolds.

A buck fifty if you want that same 1080p quality. (Actually the buck fifty gets you better quality than the HDX, but negligible to most eyes.)
Ridiculous the price they expect you to pay for convenience. I've bought a few things that were on sale on vudu, but I can't justify the price for HDX.

i know it's a whole nother app and possibly developer but the hulu one generates a different id everytime my trial expires. i find some new offer and simply put in the new code that pops up on my tv.

Just a heads up, the Walmart site is absolutely retarded...apparently they've been having issues for weeks. It took me 15 minutes to checkout. Couldn't check out on Chrome, so I tried IE which didn't work. I finally got it to work on IE by adding a gift card then deleting it. Also they only accept 4 gift cards per order!!!! So I'm stuck with a $5 gift card. I recommend consolidating to a $25 gift card in store after you buy them. Just keep the cardboard the gift card came with for your VUDU credit.

But I got my $25 Vudu credit applied and the gift cards worked online. Thanks op.
