 Missouri congressman fights to save GOP Senate bid ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Rep. Todd Akin fought to salvage his Senate campaign Monday, even as members of his own party turned against him and a key source of campaign funding was cut off in outrage over the Missouri congressman's comments that women are able to prevent pregnancies in cases of "legitimate rape." ..... 1. Claire McCaskill who is running against this neanderthal is so lucky. 2. I am glad the the GOP unconditionally has condemned this guy. |

It's a shame that Tea Party favorite and Sarah Palin enodorsed Sarah Steelman isnt the GOP candidate.
Hopefully Akins will step aside and let Sarah Steelman run against Claire McCaskill who is very vulnerable for many of her positions that go against her constituents, most notably her support for Obamacare. We need this seat to take back the Senate. The polls were not skewed, biased, oversampled or wrong. I was. There was no wave, no landslide, I was wrong about that too. Nate Silver is the gold standard of polling analysis.

What is "a shame" is that this guy articulated what many rightwingers think. Paul Ryan more or less agrees with him regarding tape and abortion. And I did not see you disagreeing with him either.
But you are right re the importance of this senate seat. We shall see... |

By all means provide evidence that many rightwingers think what this guy articulated. You cant, because it isnt true....as we can see from the reaction across the conservative blogosphere and the GOP. |
