One warning about Parallels: they left many of their users high and dry. When Mac OS X 10.8 came out, Parallels 6 (released September 14, 2010) ceased to function without warning.

For the record, VMWare pulled the same stunt, although their version 4 was released a year before. Both companies cited the cost of supporting new operating systems, but VirtualBox, the free alternative, handled the OS upgrade without a hiccup.

Performance is smooth. I was running it on MBP with 8gb and i7 quad with 1gb video card. Otherwise when I tested it with only 4GB it was decent but it depends on the size of the file.

There is no way to switch between Mac / Windows version of Adobe back when I check.
