Any reviews for HH Gregg?

So we're getting a brand new store called HH Gregg (sp?) right across the street from our Best Buy. It appears as though this store is invading the St. Louis area with multiple openings in the next couple of months.

Anyway, does anyone have any reviews about this place? I received my first flyer from them this week, and they appear to be pretty Ho Hum in their prices...certainly nothing I see that would run BB out of town, nor explain their sudden invasion of STL. I don't even see a lot of deals on here for them.

So are they a waste of time? Just a new outlet to buy electronics (I dont have the BB hate some of you have)?

They're okay just have to know what you want before you go as they're on commission sales. The don't play ball they dish it out on you. I had only purchased one 1 grand item and told the sales guy no extended warranty as the item maker extends it for a fee. Found a sales guy or gal you can feel good working with if you don't then be nice and tell them you'll be back. Then come back an find someone else to works with.

When I ask for a tablet they shouldn't tell me to go into the pharmacy to get one! Wink

Up until about a year ago I hadn't even set foot in any of the stores but heard good things about them and even knew a few family friends that were very loyal about buying from them.

From my experience (shopping at two different HH Gregg Stores and talking with 3 different employees) it is a friendly place filled with surprisingly knowledgeable salespeople. They already have competitive prices and are willing to haggle, on their bigger appliances at least, especially if you are buying more than one thing.

My wife and I ended up getting a good deal on a washer and dryer from them.

I would recommend checking them out, even if you don't buy from them you can still learn some valuable information about what is available.
