Not sure why the thumbs down. This unit doesn't have any reviews, but it's smaller sibling (XL, not XL+, with 4000 mAH) has 4 great reviews [amazon.com]. Tempting...

I can reproduce the deal. 50% off coupon is nice to get this nearly cheaper than other Solar Restore XL portable chargers at its current sales price or as cheap. It seems that I tested one other portable charger ($59.99) and it took off 30% ($41.99). But this seems to be the better deal by getting a higher rated battery capacity (2,000 mAh more) and an additional solar panel to charge faster for a dollar more. Thanks OP. I was watching the Solar Restore XL, but this appears to be a new product that they recently added (this is the "plus" line).

looks pretty neat and actually useable based on the reviews for the smaller model.... $50 is about the going price for similar power packs WITHOUT THE SOLAR OPTION... 3 yr warranty if I read it right... thats a pretty nice extra... along with the extra charge panel..

I can see this being very useful if you are on the road a lot, taking a trip with the kids or on the airplane... can keep your tablet/smartphone going with an extra movie or 2 with the extra juice... camping, at the beach or park as well

wouldnt use the suction cups though in the car...fall might damage it.. just charge it via the lighter with a usb car charger..prob faster... and leave it on the dash when you turn the car off...

WTH in 4 1 with some extra play money I made for some tech gadgets to tinker with...

In for one. Was looking for a portable backup battery. Having the solar option and 3-year warranty are a plus.

Excellent deal if you don't already have one. If you are planning to use it to make your money back on the solar charging your phone then don't buy it. It will cost you more.

However I plan to use it on my bike touring trips and outdoor camping. This will serve me well!

care to leave a review? does the extra panels store easy with the unit, durable, what about in the weather does it hold up and water resistant etc? do the extra panels charge the unit much faster vs without? there isnt a whole lotta info on it that I could find on the net

Well I did not buy it too long ago. I will eventually leave a review once I thoroughly test everything. I have not tried it in the rain and probably would not hold as it does not look like to be waterproof. I will get the extra panels soon. So I will review the whole thing once they arrive.
