I do see a $22.99 2-YR warranty direct from the website. I also checked squaretrade usually with the 30% coupon, a 1-yr warranty is $14. So the 2-yr doesn't seem bad at all and gives a piece of mind nod

I bought one of these brand new for around that price. LOVE the camera. Tested video/battery multiple times. Takes 30 minutes of video solid 3.5 times before battery runs down though, (so around 100ish minutes of video). Seemed kinda short to me.

But the pictures, flash, and everything else about this is FANTASTIC! I'd hit it. Big Grin

Doesn't hold a candle to my D5100, but then, it's a "grab and throw in your pocket" camera for me.The 5100 is my "lug to a gathering" camera. Nonetheless, the 8100 is a good compact camera. I would think that the 9100 should be a good one as well. Good price too!

Biggest dilemma: does it have HDMI? Biggest deal killer: CA tax + recycling fee

these cameras are a dying breed unfortunately.

This camera offers quite improved image quality compared to a good smartphone camera.

Not to mention the 12fps burst mode and 60 fps 720p..

This would be a great camera for someone looking for better image quality than a good smartphone, but doesn't want to jump into the expensive DSLR realm. Plus it's only $105!
