Is the FX series finally worth something?

Last I heard is that it was a big flop.

They play games great, but Intel still has the very high-end. The value is still there with AMD IMO, but to each, their own.

I know that if you are trying to build budget then AMD is the place to go.

All the reviews I saw were saying it was overhyped. I need to check out some reviews on how the CPU effected the FPS with the same setup ( except CPU obviously ).
