Actually you may not have to get them installed to get the rebate. (Yes, I know what it says in the top right). They usually run the same exact rebates, concurrently on Discount Tire Direct.

In the box with the offer number it states:

"Receive a $50 Visa® Prepaid Card when you purchase two (2) tires or wheels or receive a $100 Visa® Prepaid Card when you purchase a set of four (4) tires or wheels at Discount Tire or America’s Tire from
August 31st through September 1st, 2012."

I would call them and find out to verify once this deal is actually live.

I had just scheduled an installation with DT this Saturday, guess a delay is coming! You just saved me $100, repped!

I have no Discount Tire anywhere near me so they let me have the rebate last time through discounttiredirect.com so YMMV on the installed part. FYI, I have had to call three times to get my rebate but it is coming now.

When I was an assistant manager at another major service center, it was not unheard of to have customers come back and complain of "unusual road noise" or "handling problems" from newly installed tires. We would warranty out the tires, all 4, and let the customer pick another set/size, or different brand altogether. Question is can you sell the pitch?

Can anyone please clarify if you get the $100 for purchasing 4 tires, or do the 4 tires need to be mounted by them in order to qualify for the $100?

Thanks, OP. I've been told my tires have dry rot (???) by 3 different people. So I guess a new set is in order.

I don't think I will ever use Discount tires / Americas tire again after my experience recently. Five visits for same problem, they can't balance tires properly and they don't even know how to use their own equipment.

Ah great, been waiting for this. There should hopefully be one for Discount Tire Direct also, then I can get them shipped to me!

Probably not, since the dates don't overlap, but you should be able to stack with the Dunlop one since it ends on the 31st and appears to be a manufacturer rebate: http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/...o?pgid=641

When I ordered some Hankooks a while back, I had to call up to fix my order and the rep was pretty adamant about informing me that the $100 store rebate and $80 manufacturer rebates were stackable. Both allow you to fill them out online, so no mussing with mail-ins.

unfortunately I just checked the tires I was looking at, and I think the price went up $10 since I checked a few weeks ago
