Just got mine. Remote crushed. More news later once I get home and fully unbox this baby.

Chris at customer service asked me to email him pictures of the box so that he could file a claim with UPS. I did this within 20 minutes. This was two days ago and he's not returning my calls now. I'm really not thrilled about this. No info on RMA, return, refund, replacement...nada.

Mine arrived today and looks like it's new, I have no problems and set is working great.

It was pretty beat up-looking. The packaging tape was barely holding on. There weren't any holes though.

I guess I got lucky...you might start looking at BBB options.

Based on this...I will probably never order from this vendor again. Tested my luck the first time around, don't want to push it.

Well, if they file a claim UPS is going to want to come back by and pick up the damaged goods. There is absolutely ZERO chance I would do that until you either a) have a replacement in hand prior to- or b) have at least a tracking number showing one is coming.

Probably a good idea. I'll make sure to take a similar route. I like how proactive they were about getting the word out on selling their product (even in this very thread), but it's crickets at the first sign of a problem . I think they could still dig their way out of it, but they're not off to a great start.

Me again. I just got off the phone with Chris in customer service at shopjimmy. He was very apologetic and very helpful. He got everything squared away for me in a matter of minutes. The Hisense was OOS so he sent out a replacement LG with similar specs! He also sent shipping label to send the current one back at no charge.
I am definitely a happy customer now. I understand that sometimes things don't go as planned. I'm OK with that as long as there is a contingency plan in place. I will confidently do business with shopjimmy again in the future. Don't let my uneasy 4 days ruin it for you.
(no, I'm not getting any other extras or upgrades for this positive review. I used the forum to complain, now I'm using it to un-complain)

Mine came out of the box in great shape. No dings or scratches. Powered on with no dead pixels or lines. No screen scratches that I could find. Not sure why there were complaints about the sound in reviews- Seems fine to me.

A good buy. They should have a new remote out to me next week to replace the crushed one.

When I came to this thread, this TV was sold out but I ordered a 42" LG instead. Ordered it on Monday and arrived today. The TV was double boxed and in good shape. No dead pixel and only the remote shown some wears. I was very concerned with the picture of the broken TV but happy with the TV so far.

Cool glad things are getting worked out for those that are having issues at least!!
