Preorder Bluray Boxsets: James Bond 50th ($126), Universal Monsters ($54), Hitchcock Coll ($137) with shipping @ Amazon UK -- save $30-100 vs Amazon.com
EDIT to OP in Bold type
A note of caution since none of these sets have been released/reviewed - there is a high likelihood that all these sets will be Region Free and completely compatible with US
Bluray equipment, but nobody knows this 100% certainty yet. These studios have been very consistent at releasing Region free/US compatible discs and insider correspondence
has "confirmed" all these movies and included extras will be US friendly. Amazon UK's listings are extremely unreliable at providing information of the region status of Region B releases.

Alfred Hitchcock: The Masterpiece Collection [Blu-ray]
Release Date November 5, 2012 (UK), October 30, 2012 (US)
Last and most certainly not least in my heart and mind. The only major content difference b/w the UK and US sets is that the US set includes North By Northwest which was released as a standalone 3 years ago while the UK sets do not have NxNW. NxNW distribution rights are owned by Warner, but apparently the US branch negotiated a deal with Universal to include it in exchange for Warner being able to include Universal's Spartacus in the US Stanley Kubrick Boxset.
Like the Bond sets, some of the original audio tracks may not be included in the UK sets and only the remastered tracks are on disc. This seems to be confirmed for Vertigo in the first review copies. Us sets are expected to have original and remastered audio tracks

THE FINE PRINT AND GENERAL FAQ
1. Prices are approx since the exchange rate varies constantly (currently around 1.62 USD/£). Amazon UK does not charge you until shipment and the exchange rate then will determine the exact price.
2. Shipped to US prices factor in the removal of Value Added Tax (around 17%) which US consumers do not pay for buying from UK. Standard shipping for most single sets is £3.08 (around $5USD). If you combine shipments, the additional items are about £1 each. Normally US consumers don't have to worry about customs duties, but there is supposed to be around a daily allowance (maybe per package) on imported goods, but I've never heard of anyone of the forums that have ever been charged for an order for personal use including some very large $$ orders.
3. Many US Credit Cards charge a foreign currency exchange fee. This varies b/w cards, but typically is around 3% which can be added directly to the charge or often listed as a separate line item. There are cards that do not charge this fee most notably Capital One cards plus a number of the Premium co-branded cards from Chase, Amex, Citi though these usually charge a yearly fee. Discover Card is free, but I don't think Amazon UK accepts it. Amazon does allow you the "option" of being charged in USD to avoid the 3% CC fee, but for that convenience they pad their exchange rate 3.5-4% so you end up paying more. Most of the time you are better off charging it in native currency even if you don't have the option of a Currency Free Card.
4. You can sign in to any of the international Amazon sites with your normal Amazon US account name and password. All your shipping/billing information should be there already.
5. Amazon UK does NOT normally accept Amazon US gift cards and Amazon account cash balances. Those are specific to the originating country.
