Not true on all models. This one uses the 564 cartridges which are easy to refill using the Ebay kits. I have the Photosmart C309g and have refilled the original tanks twice. For $30 I will be able to refill each color at least ten times.

Staples no longer carries this printer, you ain't gonna find a store that has it without some driving.

Well.. Some people do need color printing and don't want the expense or bulk of a color laser. I have an HP laser printer for my main printing needs plus a wireless AIO Canon inkjet for my laptops and for when I need color.

Hate to jump off topic, but Any chance of getting the info on the ink refill kits you mention? I've never tried to refill my 564 cartridges, but if I can get 10 fills out of a kit for only $30 I'd be willing to give it a shot.

10:47 PDT my end, and it's $50 for me. just click on "see price in cart" or "add to cart" and the price should drop the $49.99

I wish I could link it but SD won't allow me to. Search for 564 refill kit and look for the ones that have the 60ml ink with the plastic holders. It should look like the picture below. This printer does not contain the photo black so keep that in mind. You can grab it usually for $20-30.

What I usually do and not sure if it is needed is I clean all of the kit with water after use just to prevent any possibility of a clog. I usually keep adding ink to each cartridge until I see it overflowing from the top. Then I run a clean cycle and it's all good after that.

There are a lot of good reviews on BestBuy. The one review was complaining about ink not lasting....yes that's any inkjet nowadays since every company is recovering the cost of the printer from the ink. Like I mentioned, you can refill these inks and save a ton of money as they are easy to refill.

i am scare about some guys claim the new ink cart is not working with his printer???
