cheap, but underpowered. it's a single core and single thread processor, i believe. Probably good enough to run a single kids program, though.

if you're feeling adventurous, you can try looking for a better processor. I think that motherboard can handle a core 2 duo and maybe a core 2 quad, not sure about the psu and cpu cooler when they put in the celeron chip. you can sometimes get the c2q cpus for as low as $50 (and c2d's for $20) and it will probably really boost the performance of that box.
