I wouldn't mind the cash route (well, besides that the money would burn a hole in my pocket the entire time lol) except I would like to build up my credit. After all, even though I don't want to buy one now, I will want a house eventually. I know that a car isn't really a good investment, but it would help establish the foundation I would need to get approved right? Granted I don't need that car for that much, but I'd rather have a car than another credit card or something. |

I don't think I'll be tired of the car in a year. It will take at least 3 years for the newness to wear off and for me to get sick of it. Besides, if I do get sick of it, since I won't be upside down on my loan, couldn't I just sell it and pay it off? Or does it not work like that? |

lol @ the shiny car bit.
As for paying cash for a car, I agree and I don't. The general rule of thumb is yes, pay cash. However, my current credit union offers me 3% interest in my checking account. If I finance at 0% interest, why would I want to pay cash for the car? Just sayin.. |
