Here is the entire list. Or you can link a miley by selecting insert image from the posting menu. It's the yellow icon with the mountain and moon.

A.)Why can't I figure out multiple quoting?
I click the multiple quote button on post and then another and then go to the open field. I try pasting after I select the multiple quote. Is it possible that I am one of the only people who doesn't get it?

B.)Why can't I find any information on multiple quoting?

Why isn't there a prominent location for advanced posting with a listing below like:

Advanced Posting:

Adding and naming a hyperlink
Multiple quoting
Starting a Thread
Enhancing your post when posting a deal (Suggestions)
i.e.
1.) Put multiple links when posting a deal with original prices and sale prices
2.) Add a product review from a reputable source when posting a deal
3.) Include a link for the rebate

I have to tell you, I am getting frustrated and feel confined. I have been around for awhile and did not want to post a deal because I didn’t know how to insert a link and name it instead of along string of characters. I need encouragement man! What I requested above would be considered encouraging.

I just feel like answers are buried too deep in the website.

To multiquote, click on the multi-quote button on each post that you want to quote, except the last post. On the last post that you're quoting, click on the regular 'reply' button instead. When the reply box comes up, all of the quotes *should* be there, including that of the final post.

That type of info and suggestions are in almost all of the FAQs for each forum, which are stickied at the top of each forum. Unfortunately not everyone reads them.

It's true, a lot of the information on how and what to do is spread around throughout the forums. That's why McSlick put this FAQ megathread together, to try to bring as much of the information together in one place as possible.

Thank you so much for your enlightening response. All of it was very helpful. I did see hyperlinking in the thread and you have pointd me in the right direction and now I know where to go. I was proposing consildation of 'like' information all falling under one topic ~ all you need to know about posting in a prominant location.

I hear ya. I have been thinking of ways to re order this thread so maybe this will motivate me-- I have been slacking You can always go to the first post and search the page using your internet brower (ctrl + F in IE & FF) just type in what word you are looking for.

So now you know how to multi-quote, hyperlink, and where to find other answers to your questions, so hopefully you got the encouragement to post some slickdeals cuz we need ya!

Thank you very much. You know I was actually just trying to help with a suggestion of what I thought might be benefical to the Slickdeal's community. I feel validated with your response and definately more empowered. I have seen how developed some people are when they post a deal by putting several links in the initial post, including product reviews and links to rebates and that is inspiring. When I tried to post something I didn't even know how to put a link in with a name and I felt a bit lame putting a a long string of characters in so now I feel more Slickdeals savvy.

From "Quick Links" in the Forum Bar, click on "My Profile". On your profile page, there's 5 tabs underneath your rep points: "Deals I Like", "Deals I Don't Like", "Voting History", "Reps" and "Reps Given" (your rep history is in the latter 2 tabs).

You can only see your own rep history. Others can't see your rep history, with the exception of mods. And you can't see others' rep history. The latter 2 tabs on a profile page is omitted if it's not your own profile page.
