how does the subwoofer compare with the Polk psw-10? I've been waiting for that to go back to $89, but would buy this if they are comparable.

Floorstanding should give you a little better lows and mids. If you have the room I'd go for the floorstanding.

Looking at the specs, I think the power rating is wrong on one as the bookshelves claim 130W RMS vs the floorstanders rating of 130 W max. I'd imagine they use the same tweeter and woofer so probably need to check another site to verify the specs.

Anyone comment on using the c21 as center channel. currently using two Infinity p193 bookshelf.

I see that has a PRE OUT for subwoofer that just has a single RCA jack (mono?). But the subwoofer has left and right RCA inputs. What's the best way to connect it?

There is also a PRE OUT left and right on the back of the receiver for SURR BACK/FRONT HEIGHT. Would that work? Is there a subwoofer control in the receiver that wouldn't work then?

That is interesting - I didn't know Pioneer was changing the design. Seems like a lot of people these days like speakers with no grills, so the new models might appeal in that respect. Although, maybe those folks don't have kids, because unprotected speaker cones probably wouldn't last long in my household. One reason I bought the Pioneers with the metal grills was for the protection. Between my kids and their friends, I didn't feel like returning from work to find a hole in one of the speaker cones.

You could just hook it to either the left or the right. Or go with a Y splitter, which is what I would do.

6 ohms? I thought most were 8?
