Men's Winter Coat/Jacket

Hi All,

I'm thinking of retiring my Calvin Klein puffer style winter coat. It's kept me fairly warm the past couple of winters, but I am thinking it's time to change it up a bit. I'm looking to spend roughly $100 or less. It doesn't have to be a specific brand persay, but I'm not anti any company whatsoever . I'm a fairly thin, tall guy and looking for something that's a fair mix between trendy/casual. I'm wanting some input because with the upcoming holiday, I'm sure there will be some good deals out there. Also, I figure there should be plenty of selection (the last time I bought my coat, I waited until it was too cold and there were not many choices).

Cliffs:
** Men's winter jacket/coat (we get a fair amount of snow/chilly winds)
** Large size
** Doesn't have to be name brand specific
** +/- $100 or so, this is not a strict budget
** Don't want fleece/peacoat style (as much as I love them, they attract too much pet hair).

Looking to see what type of coats people have been wearing and what's good/what's not worth the coin. I've seen the deal from yesterday, looks like TNF coats were only in a fleece style?

Well, you can always watch the hot deals here, for coats on sale. There are a lot of deals, for example, from the REI outlet. Your other option would be to stroll into a local Ross, Marshall's, Burlington Coat Factory, etc. and see what they have. It's always hit or miss, but you can often get good deals. I was in a Burlington last weekend and they had some cool Columbia jackets for pretty cheap.

I wouldn't go second-hand since you're stuck with something even if it doesn't fit properly.

shnitz, we are going to some outlets this weekend in hopes of snagging up some decent deals. The burglington by me was a no-go last time, but maybe I'll have better luck this time. I completely forgot about them to be honest. I'm hoping that there might be something at a wilsons outlet also.
