Called my local Staples, learned they had one at a nearby store. Bought yesterday (09/18) for $423.80 + tax.

The store had only one item left. It was a display item with no visible problems. They did *not* give me the 10% off - the manager told me it's because my item was no longer on the shelf.

The box contains the laptop + charger + nothing else, i.e., no adapter, converter, etc.

UPDATE: I found one more in another Staples store. It was again a display model, but this time they did offer the 10% discount. So, I just returned the first one I bought.

I...huhh??? HDMI is a digital signal and VGA is an analog signal. A cable cannot convert the two (unless you have a very rare device that can output HDMI in analog).

You would need a full on HDMI > VGA converter.

Okay, actually, my questions is:
since there is NO VGA on this Ultrabook, is there a HDMI > VGA converter in the original box coming with the laptop?
